    Test date: 29/1/2015

Certification Body: AITEX Textile Research Institute

    Product certification reference: 2010GT0208

Objetive: determine the compressive properties of drenotube® after oxidative ageing.

Test description: To carry out the test, the sample has been compressed until its collapse. The ageing that has been applied to the samples was 70º C for 14 days. Tests were conducted at 6 and 10 kN and data was recorded and compared with original samples.

Test procedure: UNE-EN ISO 604:2010  (compressive properties)

Test start date: 27/12/2010              Test ending date: 31/1/2011

Certification Body: AITEX Textile Research Institute

    Product certification reference: 2010GT0187

Objetive: Determination of the water flow capacity of the particles in their plane. The purpose of this test is to determine the flow capacity that
presents the ensemble of EPS particles, which are an integral part of the drainage system of the drainage geocomposite
drenotube®. This ensemble of particles replaces the traditional gravel, allowing the water filtering into the central drainage
    pipe.

Test description: To carry out the test, the test zone of the device has been filled with “EPS GRAVEL” until it has occupied all the volume. Subsequently it has been under increasing load with gradients of 0.1 and 1.0   The test has been carried out placing the sample between two rigid plates.  Unable to perform the test at 20kPa/1.0 because it has been impossible to achieve this gradient as a result of the high flow capacity. The test was performed between 200 and 1000 kPa

Test procedure: UNE-EN ISO 12958:2010  (compressive properties)

Test start date: 23/11/2010              Test ending date: 30/11/2011

Certification Body: AITEX Textile Research Institute

    Product certification reference: 2010GT0207

Objetive: The purpose of this test is to determine the variation in compression properties of the drainage geocomposite DRENOTUBE®, after an hydrolysis ageing. For this purpose, the results of compressive properties obtained from original samples (as 2010GT0206 report issued by AITEX), are compared with the obtained results of compressive properties of previously aged samples.

Test description: To carry out the test in both cases (original samples and hydrolsysis aged samples), the sample is placed in a semicircular base which has been made for this purpose. The compression is done with a hardened steel plate which compresses the sample vertically. The dimensions of this plate are 29 x 30 cm. To carry out the test, the sample has been compressed until its collapse. The ageing that has been applied to the samples has been 60º, 70º and 80º C for 28 days each one.

Test procedure: UNE-EN ISO 604:2010  (compressive properties)

Test start date: 10/1/2011            Test ending date: 31/5/2011

Certification Body: AITEX Textile Research Institute

    Product certification reference: 2012GT0052

Objetive: The purpose of this test is to determine the variation in compression properties of the drainage geocomposite drenotube®, after a microbiological ageing by soil burial. For this purpose, the results of compressive properties obtained from original samples, are compared with the obtained results of compressive properties of previously aged samples.

Test description: To carry out the test in both cases (original samples and microbiological aged samples), the sample is placed in a semicircular base which has been made for this purpose. The compression is done with a hardened steel plate which compresses the sample vertically. The dimensions of this plate are 29 x 30 cm. To carry out the test, the sample has been compressed until its collapse. Exposure time: 16 semanas / weeks Tª / Temperature: 26 ±1°C   H.R / Relative humidity: 95 ±5%    Soil was acclimatazed prior to use for 4 weeks at 28 degrees C and (97%±2)% RH   Test conditions: Moisture content 60 % of SMC  After exposure any soil remaining on the specimens was removed and all specimens, including the control specimens, were submerged in a ethanol-water solutions (70: 30) for 300 seconds. The specimens were then cleaned under running water, wiped with absorbent paper and left to dry and condition before carrying out the tensile test. Calculation & Conversion

Find a practical conversion table in the range of drenotube® corrugated pipe operation. Also  equivalences between units. Please Click here

This is to calculate the Flow rate and speed of water according to  pipe diameter, slope and interior roughness of the corrugated pipe. Please send us and enquiry to send you Mannings drenotube® calculator.

Pressure acting on drenotube® in the ground equals to pressure caused by the weight of soil above the drenotube® + hydrostatic pressure caused by the weight of the water above the drenotube® + pressure caused by the transport load on surface of the soil (live vehicle load). Please contact our Technical Service in case you need  particular figures. We will need some data to estimate the underground pressure acting on drenotube® drainage  –  Depth of installation, Nature of soil and live vehicle load. Is groundwater level above drenotube® ? Distance?

It is applicable to the speed of water at the bottom opening of the geotextile and also at the perimeter of the corrugated pipe. Please contact our Technical Service for a calculation.
